Took so time to arrived.Was worried but then came from China.Better the expected.Had Hofner bass the controls went bad. Had white pearl plate.Which matched original puck guard.New control plate. Came cream pearloid, oh no. Had to match.This was the only place even close to the right Cream.Worked out way better then dreamed.Mateched fantastically.Even could match pinkie rest.Easy to work with.Tacty to sticky to stuck.Easy to sand and shape.Cutting take some care.Had enough to then upgrade my Washburn J-3 pick guard from black to cream.Now both looking fantastic with that blond wood of them both. Well worth even penny sent and time needed.Both now one of a kind and increased in value.
Restoring the cabinet to my husband's grandparents Silvertone radio from 1935 was a fun project. I can imagine them listening to radio broadcasts in their Minnesota cabin.
The dial glass rubber gasket turned out absolutely perfect. Throughout the many years your products have completed MANY restored tube radios to original style. THANKS, CHUCK
Great cloth to restore this old radio. You can't see it real well behind the wood but it does look really nice. The cloth had a brassy dark gold with a black background.
The brass knobs as they came are beautifully made. Cleanly machined and the knurling was immaculate.
I chose to age them a little so I used white vinegar and salt vapor, which I think worked really well.
Build isn't 100% complete, but screwed knob on shifter to get a feel for the look. Everything looks good and It's going to be a great addition to my custom bike. No one will have a shiter knob like this. Big River does quality work. I worked with Ben and he was detail oriented and made sure everything was good to go before he started. Will definitely use Big River again if I need something custom.
Replaced original speaker cloth on my 1936 Sparton due to cat damage. The replacement cloth looks excellent! Instructions on tips for installing fabric which accompanied my is order were extremely helpful. Thank You!
This was my Grandparents radio that they bought new. It sat in my dad's storage Garage for the last 45 years. It was pretty rough when he gave it to me
This is the first radio I've restored. It turned out great. The grille cloth was the last part I needed to complete it.
I was gifted my Zenith 6s152 through my dad but it was originally purchased by my grandfather after returning from WW2. It is batered and bruised after moving through the US but I chose to just get it working and looking its age. Two knobs were missing so I went on a search and found Ben and Big River Hardware. When I received the knobs, I found that the volume pot was not factory and had a different profile. I reached out to Ben and asked if he had inserts and he sent 2 different ones to adapt the knobs without delay!! THAT is customer service!! I could not be happier!!! These knobs were the final touch and it is ready for my wife and I to enjoy and for my son when it's time! Thanks Ben and Big River.
