5U4G TUBE

The 5U4G is a directly-heated full-wave rectifier tube — it converts an amp or radio's AC power to DC for the rest of the circuit, and its slower turn-on and voltage "sag" under load are prized by tube-amp players for a feel that solid-state rectification doesn't reproduce.
