Bring Your 1920s Farm Radio Back to Life—Safely and Quietly
Stop chasing rare, expensive battery packs just to hear that warm tube-radio tone again. This Universal A-B-C Battery Eliminator / Power Supply replaces traditional “A” (filament), “B” (plate), and “C” (grid) batteries with a stable, line-isolated AC-powered solution—built specifically to run vintage battery tube radios and farm radios with confidence.
Designed for collectors, restorers, and everyday listeners, it delivers authentic voltages with modern protection, so your radio can play the way it was meant to—without the hassle, drift, or noise of improvised setups.
True Universal A/B/C Power for Most Battery Tube Radios
This is a universal bench supply and a long-term power option for battery-operated sets. Output options cover the voltage families used by many classic radios:
- Current capability of the”B” supply (135V-80mA, 90V-60mA, 67.5V-40 mA).
- Selectable “A” filament supply: “A6” (6.0–6.5V) or “Ax” (1.25–5.5V), up to 2.5A (3A with cover off)
- “B” plate supplies: +135V, 90V, 67.5V, and 45/22.5V options with appropriate current capacity
- “C” grid bias supplies: -4.5V / -9V / -22.5V
- “A” isolated from “B” and “C” to help support stable operation
Whether you’re powering a delicate early set on the bench or setting up a reliable everyday listening station, this power supply is built to cover the classic battery radio requirements—cleanly and consistently.
Modern Protection, Vintage Silence: No Hum, No Buzz, No Fan
A great restoration deserves a power source that doesn’t add noise to the experience. This unit is designed to be quiet—no fan, no buzzing, no 60-cycle hum—so the sound you hear is your radio, not your power supply.
Practical, confidence-building features include:
- Line isolation for safer operation
- Thermal overload + short-circuit protection
- Two indicator lights: one shows the supply is ON, another confirms the radio is ON and drawing plate current
- Low standby power (<3W) with supply ON and radio OFF
From first power-up to daily listening, it’s the kind of dependable “set it and enjoy it” upgrade that protects your investment and preserves that unmistakable tube warmth.
