The Ivory Volume Knob for Late-1930s Zenith Consoles
On late-1930s Zenith console radios, the on/off and volume function is controlled by a small knob that stacks on top of the larger tuning knob — a distinctive design that gives these sets their layered, architectural front panel. This reproduction volume knob is finished in aged ivory, matching the original color used on the majority of 1939–1940 Zenith consoles. It mounts on a 1/8 in. shaft with a set screw and sits cleanly atop the tuning knob, completing the front panel assembly exactly as Zenith intended.
Ivory Finish for the Correct Look
Color accuracy matters in a restoration. Some 1939 consoles used a brown volume knob alongside a brown tuning knob — if that's your set, see the matching brown version. This ivory version is correct for the majority of late-1930s Zenith consoles and pairs with both the ivory-era tuning knob variants. Verify your model and finish before ordering.
